Choose any one of the following books or films, read or watch it in its entirety, and write a 1000 word essay that analyzes the piece sociologically. Be sure you bring in at least 3 specific concepts from the class and that you clearly utilize your sociological imagination.
While writing, keep in mind the point of all the assigned tasks in this course: to demonstrate knowledge of course concepts, to demonstrate your ability to use the sociological imagination, to demonstrate your ability to think critically, and to demonstrate your ability to write clearly and effectively. Be sure that your essay does each of these things. You can refer to the Rubric for Written Work (at the top of the home page) for specific details on how written work is graded.
