Students are responsible for  reading and writing up a short summary for each paper.
For empirical research papers, your write-up needs to summarize: 1) All the theories covered in the literature review; 2) The theory(s) this paper examines; 3) Data and Methods of this study; 4) Evidence and conclusions provided by the author(s); 5) Are you convinced by the author(s)’ arguments and conclusions.  6) Are there any limits and errors (logically or technically, or both) in this research paper; and 7) Can you think of any other research questions from reading this paper?

For theoretical and survey papers, your write-up needs to summarize: 1) Main points and highlights of this paper; 2) Motivation; 3) Implications; 4) Weaknesses; 5) Your overall comment on this research;  6) Future Research Ideas.

If you need to quote exact sentences from the paper, please use quotation marks.
